Measure Sound Better
Headphone Audio Test System
Overview
CRYSOUND provides an integrated headphone audio testing solution to address common challenges faced by enterprises in acoustic validation, quality control, and production throughput. The solution standardizes the headphone testing workflow into a reusable and engineering-oriented process: acoustic isolation, standard-compliant coupler measurement, multi-channel synchronous acquisition, automated pass/fail analysis, and customizable report generation.
This significantly lowers the testing threshold and improves the consistency and accuracy of acoustic test results across R&D validation and high-volume production lines. The solution applies to acoustic testing for headphones, earbuds, TWS, headsets, hearing aids, and consumer electronics audio products.
Typical Application Scenarios
· Consumer Electronics Home Appliances: End-to-end acoustic validation for headphones and earbuds, covering R&D prototype benchmarking, EVT → DVT → PVT verification, and end-of-line production testing.
· Automotive Audio: In-vehicle infotainment (IVI) headphone testing, ANC performance validation under simulated road noiseise conditions, and acoustic seal quality for active hearing protection headsets.
· Medical Hearing Devices: Hearing aid frequency response testing per IEC 60118, RECD measurement, and production consistency verification for OTC hearing devices.
· Telephony Communications: Headset acoustic performance for unified communications (UC), VoIP, and contact center applications per ITU-T standards.
Support for Multiple Testing Standards
· OpenTest supports multiple headphone testing standards including IEC 60268-7, IEC 60318-4, IEC 60318-7, IEC 711, ITU-T P.58, and ITU-T P.59, enabling full-scenario headphone audio testing with a single software platform.
· OpenTest automatically calculates key acoustic parameters including frequency response deviation, total harmonic distortion (THD), THD+N, impedance, and channel balance, ensuring standards-compliant and repeatable results.
· While outputting test results, OpenTest also preserves complete raw time-domain waveforms and frequency-domain data, and links key metadata such as coupler calibration records, environmental parameters, and test configuration for deeper analysis and quality management.
Fast and Efficient Test Environment Setup
· We provide standard acoustic test chambers (CRY722 premium and CRY723 cost-optimized models) that achieve ≤15 dB(A) ambient noise floor, enabling reliable low-frequency and distortion measurements without external noise interference.
· For diverse headphone form factors, we offer a comprehensive range of couplers and fixtures including IEC 60318-4 (2cc simulated ear for over-ear), IEC 60318-7 (pinna coupler for in-ear), IEC 711 (occluded ear simulator), and CRYSOUND HATS (head and torso simulator) for binaural testing.
Rich Result Visualization
· OpenTest supports multiple views such as real-time waveforms, coupler frequency response curves (raw and smoothed), THD spectra, waterfall plots, impedance sweeps, and tabulated pass/fail data for fast verification.
· Charts support zooming, local magnification, and range-based inspection, enabling detailed analysis of key frequency bands, distortion harmonics, or abnormal test segments.
· OpenTest also supports one-click export of all charts and tables as high-resolution images and data files (CSV/PDF), convenient for test reports and technical reviews.
Custom Reports and One-Click Export
· Built-in headphone test report templates automatically summarize test configuration, pass/fail results, frequency response curves, THD spectra, and acoustic seal quality metrics.
· Reports are fully customizable — users can add company logos, test operator information, product serial numbers, and batch traceability data to meet internal quality documentation requirements.
